Magic[k]al Models

Entity Model - spirits, ghosts, ghouls, sprites, fairies, demons, aliens, gods, angels and others all exist somewhere on an adjacent reality to ours. Magical techniques let you cross over to their world, bring them to ours, enslave them, work with them, invoke and evoke them.

Chi Model - an unseeable life force, call it vril, orgone, animal magnetism, chi, ki, or mana, permeates all life. Think Star Wars' The Force. Magic works through the balance, transfer and shifting of this force.

Psychology Model - magic works through the effects of subconscious suggestion, projection and hypnosis.

The Holographic Model - also the quantum reality model, the information model or the cybernetic model. The universe and everything in it consists of information. On the quantum level the wave form of probability collapses in accordance with the observations of the observer. It's possible to tap into, rearrange and access the information of the universe at anytime, since you yourself are part of that same information.

The JKD Model - sometimes called the meta-model, I think of it as the JKD model [for Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do - "absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add that which is specifically your own"]. An eclectic model that picks and chooses from the previous four models. The model favored by chaos magicians. The concept that none of the previous models are "true", just that they seem to work, depending on the belief structures of the user. All is True. Nothing is True. Use What Works.

The JKD Model works because of the Unknowable Model - all models are linguistic devices to describe that which is. The description of a thing is never the thing itself. Language is the symbol system we use to try and describe experiential reality. All models are just the linguistic frames we're comfortable with using. Reality can't really be defined, but if you take certain steps, certain things result.
