POWERLIFTING MOTIVATION: "...here’s the real definition of badass. The man, the myth, the legend. ED COAN! AKA @eddycoan! AKA The Greatest Powerlifter of All-Time! What this man has accomplished in the sport of powerlifting is unprecedented. Especially since he competed in the 80’s and 90’s where equipment and training techniques, and nutrition weren’t as advanced as today. He set MULTIPLE world records, took gold in MULTIPLE World Championships. His best lifts were as follows S: 961 B: 584 D: 901 All as a 220lber. He is also the only man in the 220lb division to have ever deadlifted over 900 lbs which also makes him the lightest man to ever lift that! Which is insane! And he still kicks ass and lifts humongous weights to this day! A true inspiration and American badass. We believe if everyone tried to achieve greatness as Ed Coan did…the world would be a better place. "

"Did anyone feel raped by that? How about drugged? I felt comforted by a familiar father figure... Not Guilty!"

Schumer just crushes it in this sketch.

Amy Schumer wants you to get over your fond Cosby memories already | New York Post: "For the generation that grew up watching Bill Cosby, his spectacular fall from grace was like watching a wall of your childhood home ripped away....

That’s the challenge Amy Schumer took on in a bold sketch from Tuesday night’s episode of “Inside Amy Schumer,” where she appears in a courtroom to act as Cosby’s defense in the court of public opinion."

"“If convicted, the next time you put on a rerun of ‘The Cosby Show,’ you may wince a little,” Schumer says in the bit. That line likely made viewers squirm, as it’s the exact dilemma they’ve been dealing with since Cosby’s allegations reached a breaking point last fall...

Schumer’s defense-attorney character bribes the jury with Jell-O pudding pops. “How could the face of such a yummy treat even do anything bad?” she asks as the jury chomps down on the pops.

"The problem this bit gets to is that a lot of people — fans of his stand-up, people who grew up on “The Cosby Show,” people who applauded his social activism — just don’t want to process the horrible allegations against him. They barricade off the “Cosby the entertainer” part of their brains because cross-pollinating it with the rational analysis part would make those fond memories turn cancerous...

“We deserve to dance like no one’s watching and watch like no one’s raping,” Schumer pleads to the jury. Even with all the fond memories of Cosby reruns, that’s just too much to ask anymore."

‘I support anyone’s right to be who they want to be. My question is: to what extent do I have to participate in your self-image?’ - Dave Chappelle

Dave Chappelle's Comeback Tour Takes Aim at "New Intolerance" - Hit & Run : Reason.com: "His new set is peppered with jokes about him coming face-to-face with the new intolerance. There’s the lesbian couple whose kid is at the same ‘liberal-rich’ private school as his son – one of them laughing along at his jokes about whether or not they qualify for the father-son picnic, the other ‘too committed to her lesbianism’ to entertain them. And then there’s that trans joke, in which Dave, finding himself at a poncey gallery party, is stared down when he dares to ask ‘Is he okay?’ after a cross-dresser collapses in the corner. ‘I support anyone’s right to be who they want to be. My question is: to what extent do I have to participate in your self-image?’

...It's not just Chappelle who has changed over the past 10 years, of course. So has the culture, which has gotten noticeably touchier about all sorts of real and imagined slights. Spiked's Tom Slater has a review-essay about seeing Chappelle, who converted to Islam in the late 1990s, perform in London that's well worth a read if you care about freedom of expression and what is accurately called "the new intolerance...

Race continues to figure heavily in his set, but he draws a line between the real, post-Ferguson issues and mere offence-seeking. ‘Black skin is thick skin’, he says, launching into a hilarious, absurd routine about walking into a Kentucky Fried Chicken, unperturbed when he finds all of the staff wearing KKK hoods, before opining on the ethics of ejaculating after your white girlfriend inadvertently drops racial epithets during sex."

Paul Rudd's still keeping it real.

"I want to assemble a task force of the most dangerous people on the planet."

This could really be excellent.

"Excuse me, sir. You wouldn't happen to be a scifi fan would ya?"

Alan Tudyk. Nathan Fillion. Con Man. Brilliant.

"That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. That turns a good man cruel."

"You're going to go to war.  He is not our enemy."

Coulson is not having your shenanigans.
