Increasing Volume of Supplemental and Assistance Work - JimWendler.com: "The problem with the increase in assistance work is that everyone wants to have their cake and eat it too. It doesn’t work like that – you can’t be strong like a powerlifter, fast as sprinter, and as big as a linebacker. Well, you can, but these people are so rare that teams pay them millions of dollars and television stations have billion dollar contracts to broadcast them to you. They’re called professional football players, and if you’re one of them, you aren’t reading this, as you’re too busy counting your money and cracking skulls. Too many people believe their mommy’s and think they are the outliers. Chances are you are average as fuck. Work hard and smart."
Amazing 60 Year Old Training - RossTraining.com: "“The only way you can live your life to the fullest is to be as healthy as you can be… That’s why I train.”"
LIFT-RUN-BANG: Beginner lessons - Early mistakes to avoid: "Newflash. If you want to be jacked like Dwayne Johnson, be prepared to put in a couple of decades of hard work, take some anabolics, and go through phases where you were chubby, then lean, then chubby, then lean again. None of this happens in a few months, or even a few years. And no routine is going to make you "look like someone". Last time I checked, your dad banged your mom and created you."

therock on Instagram: "Here's a lil' fact that explains my fun DNA.. When I was 10yrs old, my dad would take me to the gym with him on the weekends. Kick my ass and "stretch" the hell outta me on the wrestling mats. Then he'd kick my ass some more on the weights. He'd always say, "If you throw up, go outside. And if you cry, then go home to your mother." Yup, that's my upbringing which taught me there will never be another substitute for hard work. And crying in the gym is not allowed. Even if you're 10yrs old.. with a big ass afro."
Dwayne The Rock Johnson added a new photo. - Dwayne The Rock Johnson: "Always asked from my buddies, "Why do you continue to push yourself so hard when you don't have to these days? You're not broke.." My answer's always the same.. "Exactly. That's why.". It's funny cause only my buds who came up thru hard times and broke as f*ck understand that answer. The other ones just look at me like I have three heads. Many of y'all out there know what I'm talkin' bout. It ain't ever about money.. it's about never forgetting what it's like to have none. "

7/24 - treadmill, pushups, chins, knee raise
7/23 - chins, inc db press, leg xt, pushups, stiff arm pulldown, calf press, sswings, db curls, tri pushdowns, air squats, situps
Dwayne The Rock Johnson: "Learned a valuable lesson a long time ago that it's much easier to push yourself when a crowd is watching or a coach is telling you what to do. The extremely hard part is pushing yourself beyond limits when no one else is around and you're alone. But if you can master that.. that's when you break thru into another level of progress and success."
FGOY: "Julie Foucher is a medical student (Class of 2017) as well as a four-time CrossFit Games athlete. Inspiration to us all. “I believe my role as a future physician will not simply be to facilitate the cure of disease, but to maximize the fitness of my patients over the years of their lives.”"

"Jack Burton just looks that big ol’ storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it.""
That might just work. If anybody can pull it off, it's the Rock. Dwayne Johnson in Talks to Produce and Star in 'Big Trouble in Little China' Remake - Spinoff Online: "Johnson would star as Jack Burton, the role originated by Kurt Russell in the John Carpenter-directed original. Like in the 1986 film, Burton is a truck driver caught in an ancient battle, set in San Francisco’s Chinatown. Johnson and his production company, 7 Bucks Entertainment, pitched the remake to Fox; the original is said to be one of Johnson’s favorite movies."
"What does that mean? Huh? "China is here." I don’t even know what the hell that means."
